Which Revopoint 3D Scanner do I Need?

Which Revopoint 3D Scanner do I Need?

You’ve looked around the Revopoint store, and you’re not sure if you need a POP, POP 2, or MINI. Well, let’s cast that confusion aside and break down the differences between these three Revopoint 3D scanners, so you can figure out which one is right for you.

A Quick Overview

Revopoint’s scanners can be split up by object size. POP and POP 2 are suited to 3D scanning medium-sized objects, and MINI is suited to small objects.

POP

This is the first consumer 3D scanner made by Revopoint, and it was designed for 3D scanning medium-sized objects.

POP 2

The upgraded version of POP with better accuracy, resolution, and scanning speed.

MINI

Revopoint’s first blue light scanner is for users who need highly detailed and accurate scans of small objects, generally for professional applications.

Notes 1. Accuracy was acquired in a controlled lab environment. Actual results might vary, subject to the operation environment.

2. Windows 7 not supported

3. For scanning dark, transparent, or highly-reflective surfaces, we recommend using scanning spray.

So basically, if you need to scan small objects go MINI, and for medium objects, go POP or POP 2.

POP vs. POP 2

This depends on whether the POP’s 0.3mm accuracy is good enough for the scans you want to do. And if it is or isn’t depends on what you’re scanning and what you want to do with your 3D model.

For example, if you’re scanning a vase with the aim of 3D printing a copy of it, then 0.3mm accuracy is more than enough for your needs. However, if you want to scan something like a screw to make a replacement part, then more accuracy is essential.

And with that, we now hope you understand which Revopoint 3D scanner is correct for you.
