The world's lightest standalone 3D scanner, the Revopoint MIRACO, offers excellent versatility. It can capture small to large items and lets you process your model wherever you are, with no cables, power bank, or PC needed.
However, even with its impressive capabilities, it can still need a helping hand from some of these handy accessories to offer an optimal scanning experience in every scenario.
Power Bank
This convenient 10,000 mAh power bank attaches to MIRACO and extends its scanning time by up to 2.5 hours (up to 4.5 hours when connected to a fully charged MIRACO), giving you the freedom to focus on your scanning without worrying about power. And, of course, it can also recharge any USB Type-C compatible device like a smartphone or pair of headphones.
Dual-axis Turntable
The Dual-axis Turntable offers a productivity-boosting scanning experience that simplifies capturing all objects' surfaces. Its ± 30° titling surface brings objects closer to MIRACO's depth cameras to increase the capture area for more efficient scans.
With a max load of 5 kg and adjustable rotation speeds of 18 to 90 seconds per rotation, it's a versatile tool that can be controlled via Revo Scan 5 or the Revo Assistant app.
Large Turntable
This aptly named turntable is the ultimate assistant for fast full-body scans and for making large objects easier to capture. It supports up to 200 kg with powerful motors that keep it smoothly rotating even at its maximum speed of 35 seconds per rotation. Control the Large Turntable using its compact remote controller or the Revo Assistant app on your phone.
Scanning Spray
When it comes to highly reflective, transparent, or very dark surfaces, MIRACO needs some help capturing them. These surfaces can bounce light all over the place, let it pass through, or absorb it, making them tricky to scan. But don’t worry—Scanning Spray can fix this.
A quick spray coats the object in a micron-thin layer that the scanner can easily detect. There is no need to worry about cleaning it off, as the spray sublimates (disappears) after a few hours. And because it doesn’t use any pigments, it’s safe on delicate equipment.
Marker Points
When scanning featureless objects, large or small, MIRACO needs something to track to capture them successfully. Simply place marker dots (highly reflective stickers) across featureless areas to create reference points for MIRACO to track. However, be warned: you’ll need a lot of them to scan a car or helicopter.
With the help of these accessories and some scanning know-how, you’ll easily make short work of any objects you want to capture.
